About Acadexon
Acadexon is an academic catalogue of legal research, an initiative of the Law Institute of European University.
Acadexon (Academic Catalogue of Legal Research) is an initiative of the Law Institute of European University, carried out within the framework of a project that won a grant competition of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia. It is an academic infrastructure intended to support the dissemination of, and access to, research produced in the field of law.
The platform aims to improve the dissemination, accessibility and visibility of academic work created in law and related fields. It offers authors, researchers, the wider academic community and other interested parties a single space in which scholarly work can be found and consulted easily.
What the catalogue does
The function of the catalogue is limited to indexing the bibliographic data of scholarly work and providing links through to the full texts at their official sources. The full texts of indexed work are neither stored nor distributed in the catalogue. Copyright and related rights in that work belong to the respective authors, publishers or other rights holders.
Indexing of academic publications is carried out on the basis of publicly available bibliographic data. The core functioning of the catalogue therefore does not depend on the participation of individual journals.
Cooperation with journals
At the same time, the catalogue is open to institutional cooperation with scholarly journals. Journals wishing to cooperate may supply the catalogue with complete, accurate and regularly updated metadata for their publications. Such cooperation supports a fuller presentation of the journals and the work published in them, improves discoverability and increases academic visibility.
Free services
Acadexon's core search and bibliographic services are free for every user. The platform offers the following without charge:
- searching for scholarly articles, working papers, books and book chapters;
- searching academic work by author, journal, subject and classification;
- obtaining the official link through to the full text of a work, where such a link is available;
- consulting authors' academic profiles and the work they have published;
- monitoring view and download figures for indexed work.
Registration is free, and there is no paid account tier. Use of the platform does not affect whether a work is indexed, its position in search results, or any academic ranking.
